This is where we left the trail and headed back to the T. The girls literally walked on the red line all day. Enough history and walking for one day.

Ali liked urban hiking about as much as she likes hiking in the woods. She did great but was done! (The rest of us too!)

The Freedom Trail led us right into the North End. How could we pass up the opportunity for cannolis? Mike's has about 50 flavors. We stuck to the traditional ricotta and chocolate chip.

Totally worth waiting in line for!

Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market

Quincy Market was a good place for lunch. We found a piano so Samantha played.

The girls were very "governmental" at the head of the table.

I think Samantha is writing a law about free ice cream for kids. It's very serious business!

Ali was VERY excited to learn that the unicorn is one of the symbols of the British crown. It's on the royal coat of arms!

There's a cuckoo in the clock!

Very cool spiral staircase. It was added in the 1800's.

There's a unicorn on the roof!

That's the balcony where the Declaration of Independence was first read in Boston.

There is also a lion on the roof, but that was not nearly as exciting.
