Katahdin Woods and Waters National Park

This is the newest proposed park. It's quite controversial all over Maine. Everyone we talked to about it was not in favor. It was one of Obama's final orders as president. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

Either way- we have been there and beat the throngs of tourists like we saw at Acadia!

Part of the road goes through private land. This owner's opinion is clear!

We did the two hour loop and agree that this does not have what it takes to be a national park. It's pretty, but not on par with the other parks we have seen. We vote No!
